After a disappointing workout in Boston, and follow up workout with Los Angeles, Washington Basketball Markelle Fultz will still likely be top draft pick. But the NBA team is looking more and more like the Philadelphia 76ers
There has been a lot going on this afternoon. Earlier in the day, we touched on the topic that Washington Basketball Markelle Fultz was disappointing in his workout for the Boston Celtics. In fact, that workout may have led to the decision for Markelle Fultz to work out with the Los Angeles Lakers.
But now, the word on the street from none other than Adrian Wojnarowski is that the Philadelphia 76ers have climbed into the pilot’s seat.
Rumor Raging
And right now, it’s gaining momentum rapidly. Did Markelle Fultz know just how much the Philadelphia 76ers want him? Perhaps.
And there has been plenty of talk out of Philadelphia about the near perfect fit for the player on the team. But until today, not much mention of taking action. The Sixer Sense is running with the rumors, and are very optimistic a deal gets done. And if it does?

The Philadelphia 76ers will boast a lineup including Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Markelle Fultz. That’s a lineup with huge potential.
Fultz Joins Eagles
If the Philadelphia 76ers are successful, that would join Markelle Fultz with football stars Sidney Jones IV and Elijah Qualls. It is unusual for so many Washington Huskies to land in Philadelphia, let alone three in the same year.
Will it happen? You can be the judge of that.
While anything is possible, that sounds as though a deal is close to done, in principal. it’s a great moment for Markelle Fultz and family. Knowing an NBA team is willing to pay a premium price for the right to select him must be an incredible feeling. We’ll know how it all works out at the NBA Draft.
But for today… buckle your seat belts.
