Washington Huskies 3 Oregon Ducks 1 Advances Dawgs In Series

The Washington Huskies defeated the Oregon Ducks today to advance in the 2017 Women’s College World Series
The Washington Huskies are on a roll. They defeated Utah 2-1 to advance to the NCAA 2017 Women’s College World Series. Now the team has defeated third-ranked Oregon 3-1 to advance to the next round.
The 6:00 p.m. (3:00 p.m. PT) contest took place in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and was the third contest of the day. In earlier action, Florida blanked Texas A&M, 8-0 in Game 1. 13th seed LSU continued it’s Cinderella story by upsetting fifth seed UCLA, 2-1 in Game 2. Florida will face LSU in their second round matchup on Friday, June 2.

Round Two
The Washington Huskies await the winner of the Oklahoma versus Baylor game which began at 6:30 p.m. PT Thursday, June 1. As of this article, Oklahoma is the odds-on favorite to win the game. In the fourth inning, the Sooners lead the Bears by a score of 5-1.
The next round series is a double elimination round. The schedule of games featuring winners and loses can be found on ESPN W. The shortest route to the title for the Huskies requires two more victories, and then a best two out of three series for the championship.
ESPN W ranks the Huskies fifth overall in the field of eight competing teams, just behind fourth ranked Oregon and third ranked UCLA. After today’s activity, the Huskies are the lone PAC-12 school remaining in the winners bracket.
