6-foot-6 wing Bitumba Baruti

Standing in at 6-foot-6 and weighing in at 210 pounds, Baruti has the right physical make-up to force for position in the paint, or bounce out to showcase a quick burst move driving to the basket. In fact, the team made ample use of that versatility last year:
Now the team must better harness the potential mismatches created by Baruti’s vesrsatility.
Beginner’s Luck
Appearing in just 17 games in his first NCAA season, Baruti experienced just his third year of organized basketball play.
Awesome story on newcomer Bitumba Baruti. Was 2 of 400 kids selected from Biyombo's bball camp in Congo. Started organized ball two yrs ago.

On one hand, you can expect significant upside from Baruti this year. On the other hand, the endless energy and preparedness of new head coach Mike Hopkins will be a perfect training program for Baruti. In fact, with just 17 games and 4.5 minutes per game experience, Baruti’s improvement will be pure gain for the team overall.
