Timed For Training Camp

But he timed his surgery so that he would be cleared for practice when training camp opens in July 2017.  In fact, he timed his surgery just so, to give NFL teams access to him at the Combine, but soon enough as to not disrupt his NFL Training once selected.

He will need all the time with the team he can get. Wide receiver is one of the most difficult positions for a rookie to master. And he’s competing with a loaded offensive stable at the Bengals.

Crowded Corps

The Bengals have veteran wide receiver A.J. Green on one side.  Starting opposite of Green will be the standout of veteran wide receiver Tyler Boyd, Brandon LaFell, and John Ross III.  So Ross jumps right into the deep end of the pool with the Bengals in 2017, and many expect he will be developed slowly as the team’s slot, or third, wide receiver option as a result.

Still, there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic over Ross getting 1,000 yards receiving this year..  In fact, lets discuss the top three.
