I.   Kelsey Plum Projected as Top Pick in WNBA Draft

The University of Washington Huskies guard Kelsey Plum did not have a good season. She had a record setting season to cap off a record setting career.  Plum set the NCAA career and single-season scoring records as a senior.

Kelsey Plum landed nearly every NCAA women’s basketball award possible.  In fact, she earned the distinction of being named AP Player of the Year.

But you would never guess all that if you meet her, talk to her, or even observe her. You see, Kelsey Plum is not a typical athlete.

The awards are nice. The record setting is great.  But wrap it all up and place it onto the shelf. UW’s Kelsey Plum is about opening doors and setting examples.  The young lady is not climbing to record heights to win fame for herself.  She is simply trying to gain the highest perch in her lifetime so that others can observe and surpass her achievements in their lifetimes.

Kelsey Plum deserves to be tuned in, because she is a living example of someone trying to make this a better world for all.  And I for one hope she succeeds.
