The University of Washington Huskies Men’s Basketball Team Loses Second Player, Forward Noah Dickerson Requests Release

The grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence.  But five University of Washington Huskies basketball players, two of whom played for former head coach Lorenzo Romar, are setting out to test that theory. As the aftershocks of the dismissal of former head coach Lorenzo Romar, some players are choosing to start over elsewhere.

The second such announcement happened on March 23, 2017, when forward Noah Dickerson informed the University of Washington Men’s Basketball Team that he is requesting his release to seek a transfer to play elsewhere.

Oh Noah, Don’t Go.. ugh…

Noah Dickerson was a very productive player for the University of Washington. In two seasons, he played in all games for the Huskies. His game really picked up when Markelle Fultz was lost to the team. In fact, his season high scoring occurred in the last two games of the regular season: 23 points against UCLA and 27 points against USC.

He joins the departure of  power forward Matthew Atewe.

Right now, the 2017 Mens Basketball team roster appears a little on the light side.  With the two player exodus paired with the  release of Michael Porter Jr from his National Letter of Intent obligation, and the release of Blake Harris from his 2017 National Letter of Intent.

Initially, the departure of players may have been replaced with some new players or recruits. Now, the team has lost two players and two recruits. And the impact of the vacancies grows with each new vacancy.

Ready or Not, Here We Come

The NCAA will not give delay the 2017-2018 season due to decisions of players.  The University of Washington Husky Men’s Basketball team will compete with the player roster as it stands at the time.  When USC changed their coaching staff, the team struggled for two seasons.
