Washington Huskies Basketball: Non-Conference Schedule Announced

The University of Washington’s 2013-2014 Men’s Basketball non-conference schedule has been announced by the athletic department, and it is immediately clear that this year’s slate is much more robust. The season will start on November 6th with a home game against local Central Washington, followed by another local showdown with Seattle U on November 10th. After playing four fairly soft home games, things will get much more serious in the 2k Sports Classic at Madison Square Garden on the 21st and 22nd of November, where UW will play Indiana and either Boston College or UConn.

Add in a home game against UConn and a road trip to San Diego State (a super hostile road environment), and the Huskies will certainly have strength of schedule respect from the Selection committee. They just also need to win some of those difficult matchups. I will be posting a game-by-game breakdown of the schedule sometime tomorrow, but for now, here is it:
