Some interesting personnel information revealed by Coach Sarkisian in the press conference a few minutes ago. Also, the updated roster is posted, so here are some quick notes both from Sark and from the roster:

Zach Grossnickle, a kicker/punter who previously played with Colorado, is now added to the roster. He’s a senior and is most likely to contribute as a punter if he finds time on the field.

Travis Feeney is totally healthy after missing spring for a shoulder surgery and according to the roster has bulked up nearly 20 pounds to 224. He stayed under the radar despite his disruptive play last season. Good health and added size could help him put together a break-out year.

Both Jaimie Bryant and Andrew Basham, members of the Class of 2013, will greyshirt. This had been announced but there had been some back and forth rumors about whether or not it would actually happen.

Sark continues to speak as if ASJ and Kasen Williams will not be suspended for the season opener against Boise State. It won’t be known for sure until game day, but he has been consistent in saying that he won’t make an example out of ASJ, and considering how long ago the incident occurred, it seems he is most likely comfortable with the legal consequences and in-house punishment being enough. And if he’s fine, Kasen is fine. He was cited, but there was no official DUI for him.

Deontae Cooper will practice today, and Sark noted that if he is able to carry the ball once against Boise State, it will be a victory. If he stays healthy and sees the field, it really will be a special moment after the three knee injuries.

Evan Hudson is switching from tight end to defensive end. He is a 6’5″ 277-pound junior.

Cooper Pelluer and Evan Zeger have both retired from the team.

Derrick Brown is switching to halfback, which is very logical. He’s an intriguing athlete, and despite being listed as the backup QB last year, he’s likely been leapfrogged by Cyler Miles, Jeff Lindquist, or even Troy Williams at quarterback.

Erik Kohler is still very limited with a foot injury, though he appears to be the only Husky still limited by recovery from a major injury.

James Atoe got huge! He has bulked up to 6’6″ and 349 pounds and is expected to compete for time at tackle. Overall several guys on the offensive line added significant weight.

I may have missed some things, and if so, I’ll update this post and say so on twitter.
