The Morning Haul 7/22
By Evan Webeck
Happy Monday, Dawg fans. Here’s to a good week. Let’s start it off right with some links.
Keith Price is listed at the No. 25 draft eligible QB for the 2014 draft on Bleacher Report.
"Price would have to post an unreal season to propel his draft stock up the board. With size limitations and uneven production, he looks more like a developmental pick in the late rounds."
Seattle Times Husky football beat writer Adam Jude offers his preseason picks as Pac-12 Media Day approaches.
"There’s plenty of reason for optimism for the Huskies to take a step forward in Steve Sarkisian’s fifth season. Keith Price is the most experienced QB in the Pac-12, nine starters return on offense and the young linebackers have a chance to be elite."
UW Dawg Pound wonders if the linebackers will improve from last season.
"The depth behind the three starters is enough to weather injuries and keep all members of the unit fresh. Fuimaono has played in 35 games – starting 16 – over the course of his career, while Tutogi has played in 22 and became a pivotal member of the rotation last season."
My friend and fellow Cronkite student Kerry Crowley ranks the Pac-12’s defensive backs. The Huskies check in at number five.
"Washington returns two starters in the defensive backfield as senior Sean Parker will be back at strong safety while sophomore Marcus Peters hopes to build on a strong freshman campaign."
