The Morning Haul: 9/24
Alright, so as I’m typing this, I’m getting ready to begin my first day of class here at the University of Washington. At the same time, it’s also the beginning of a pretty great week of football. I mean how often do the Seahawks play on Monday, followed by the Huskies on Thursday? It’s an odd arrangement, but it will make for an awesome five days.
The previewing of Stanford is in full effect, so most of the stories I will be linking over the next several days will be on that subject. In case you haven’t noticed, this game is kind of a big deal.
Stories Especially Worth Reading:
Coach Romar has added a transfer from Edmonds Community College named Dion Overstreet, who will join the team as a walk-on.
Three straight stories written about Stanford offensive line and how the Huskies plan to handle the challenge. This one from the News Tribune, a Bob Condotta story about the “daunting challenge upfront,” and Gregg Bell’s story about the super-sized defensive players Washington plans to use to neutralize it.
The Dawg Pound’s position previews begin with a rundown of the offense. Always a great read for anyone that feels like they aren’t up to date on the 2012 Stanford team and don’t want to be muttering “who the hell?” after a Stanford score.
