Former University of Washington guard, Nate Robinson, is expected to sign with the Chicago Bulls as early as tonight and as late as tomorrow morning. Robinson played for the Golden State Warriors last season.
Rumors are circulating that it will be just a one year contract for the veteran minimum. This is not official yet but many estimate that is what his market will bring. He is a backup guard and will most likely see roles as both in the shooting guard capacity and on the point. However, the point guard role is currently a log-jam. The Bulls have Derrick Rose, Kirk Hinrich, and Marquis Teague all currently listed on their depth chart.
His role as a veteran on the team will provide leadership and depth. As a player coming off the bench last season for the Warriors he averaged 11.2 points and 4.5 assists per game on 23.4 minutes a game.
One fan has already given a look at what Robinson will look like in a Bulls jersey:
The deal should be finalized soon and Robinson will join his fifth NBA team in his career; New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, and now the Chicago Bulls.
