Series Notes: While the 10-2 record is intimidating, it doesn’t tell the whole story for the Pilots. Those ten wins came against Stephen F. Austin, Concordia, Creighton, Cal State Bakersfield, and Air Force, none of which are impressive wins. Mac Acker will have the start for the Huskies in the one game series. He threw five scoreless innings to pick up a win in his first career start against St. Josephs. If he can command the strike zone, he should not have an overwhelming task ahead of him. It is important that the Dawgs get this game, however, since it is their first game before entering the conference schedule against 12th ranked Oregon.
