Preview: This will be the Huskies’ second tough series of the year. While they are not currently ranked, they were in the top 30 teams in the nation prior to a week in which they lost three games. Two of those losses were at the hands of San Diego State who Washington beat two games out of three in the opening weekend of the season. On Friday night, Washington will have ace Aaron West on the mound, he has been lights out this year and should give Washington a good chance to get ahead in the series. George Asmus and Austin Voth are in line for starts on Friday and Saturday respectively. Both had excellent outings last weekend but will need to keep a powerful Cal Poly offense in check. They are led by Jimmy Allen who is batting .404, Nick Torres who has seven doubles and a homerun in just 13 games, and Mitch Haniger who has hit three homeruns and driven in eighteen rbis.
