2013 Football Recruiting Notes

We have a friend to the site named Shaan Franchi (@CalBearReporter) that is extremely active in chasing down and contacting recruits. He mainly focuses on the California Golden Bears but often UW and Cal are recruiting similar targets. He emailed me a handful of interviews he conducted with some big time 2013 targets on the West Coast. Here are the notes that pertain to UW:

2013 OLB Michael Hutchings 

What schools are recruiting you the hardest right now? What college recruiter/coach do you have the best relationship with?

USC,Washington, Oregon, ASU and Cal are recruiting me hardest at the moment. I have about an equal relationship with Coach Lupoi of Washington and Coach Helton of USC.

Do you have any favorites now? If not, when will you start to decide about favorites?

At the moment i do not have any favorites i’m just setting up visits at the moment to be able to start cutting my list down in summer.

Main recruiter from UW?

Tosh Lupoi

2013 OT Aaron Cochran

He said that his main recruiter at UW is Tosh Lupoi and while his brother plays at Cal he said it is not a priority to play with him. He said he has no favorites right now.

2013 DT Eddie Vanderdoes

• Vanderdoes is one of the top defensive lineman in the country. He said that he is being recruited the hardest by Cal, Washington, UCLA, Michigan, USC, Notre Dame, and Penn st. and that he has a “great relationship with all of them.”
• He has no favorites right now and he isn’t looking to slim the list down anytime soon.
• He listed Washington as a school he wants to make sure he visits. And “out east for a few visits.”
• He recently has picked up interest from Oklahoma, Florida St., Alabama, Auburn
• His main recruiter is Tosh Lupoi from UW.

2013 DB LJ Moore

Said he has an UW offer and that Tosh Lupoi is recruiting him.
