Cyler Miles Stays With The Washington Huskies and Signs LOI
By Mark Knight
Cyler Miles one of the best quarterbacks in the country, out of Mullen High School in Colorado, has decided to stay with his orignal verbal commitment to the Washington Huskies.
USC and Washington were two schools that he liked early but UW came after him first and offered him a scholarship. USC came on in the last couple of weeks and came fast and hard in in recruiting him. They offered him a scholarship and called him nearly daily. He decided to take an official visit to USC and said that he really loved his visit there. But in the end the decision remained with the Huskies.
However, it wasn’t an easy decision. He wavered over it for weeks, both universities have produced some elite quarterbacks, both universities promised elite competition, and coaching staffs of both universities were eager to have him join their football team.
As late as last weekend, he had decided to confirm his decision to be a Husky but that didn’t stop USC from throwing a few more pitches his way. Miles decided to have a formal announcement today, and he talked with USC one last time at 12:3opm.
USC had a legitimate shot to grab Miles out of UW’s arms but when the choices were on the table, Miles went with Washington. The Colorado quarterback decided that Coach Sark and the University of Washington was the destination.
He is a 4-star quarterback and joins Jeff Lindquist as the other quarterback in the class. He is part of what is shaping up to be a nationally recognized class for the Washington Huskies.
