Jaydon Mickens Picks the Washington Huskies
By Mark Knight
Jaydon Mickens of Susan Miller Dorsey High School in California has declared his intentions to be a Husky tonight and he is the latest amongst top talent on the West Coast to commit to the Huskies.
Scout and Rivals has him listed as a 4-star athlete though he will most likely be playing wide-receiver in college. He was looking for a high powered offense to be involved in for his college choice as his final team came down to UW and Oklahoma State. He is a fast/quick receiver that can accelerate quickly and find or create space into the open field.
On the Huskies look for him to be used on special teams/returning kicks, out of the back field and in the slot. He is a versatile athlete with tons of explosiveness and speed.
Mickens joins an already impressive recruiting class in just the last 24 hours for the Huskies. Coach Steve Sarkisian has landed one 5-star in Shaq Thompson, two 4-stars in Jordan Payton and Jaydon Mickens, and a underrated 2-star center in Shane Brostek, this all came in the last day.
Below are Mickens highlights:
Tomorrow is National Signing Day but UW is making a case to have one of the best classes in the Pac-12 conference. Stay tuned to The Husky Haul for a busy day tomorrow.
