This Week’s Picks in the Pac-12
By Jeff Taylor
As I mentioned in the blurb I posted earlier in the week, I am currently 32-5 in picking the winner of Pac-12 games. But, to be fair, many of those games were against inferior FCS opponents, so picking the Pac-12 team to win was usually a safe bet (save for the Oregon State debacle against Sacramento State). To compare, Husky football guru Bob Condotta is also 32-5 right now, so it isn’t like I am exceeding the expectations of the experts. However, unlike Bob, all of these picks were ones I made before the season began, not a week-by-week adjustment.
Anyways, I have decided to go out on a limb each week and reveal my picks and see where it leads me.
Here are my Huskylenz Week 5 Picks
UCLA at Stanford: Do I really have to say it? Cardinal will win this one by 30.
Oregon State at Arizona State: Sun Devils on a roll and Oregon State ’bouts to get rolled.
Arizona at USC: Trojans will exact revenge against a desert team, too bad it is the reeling Wildcats.
Washington State at Colorado: Before the season, I predicted this would be Colorado’s one conference win of the season. Given what Oregon State’s been doing, they’ll probably get more. This is the hardest one to call this week. My head says WSU given their bye and a prolific air attack against a beat up CU secondary. But, I’ll give the home edge to the Buffaloes.
Washington at Utah: As much as I hate to say it, I saw this one as a loss back in July. Nothing has changed my mind about this one. Sad day for the Huskies.
