Demarquise Johnson Settles on Final 4
By Mark Knight
Demarquise Johnson has had a lot of interest in him and is one of, if not the best shooting guard left on the west coast. He is recognized as a game changer and a pure-scorer. His list, that at one point had Washington, Missouri, Oregon State, UNLV, Colorado, Washington State, and Gonzaga, is now down to just four schools.
Johnson has decided that his list is now Washington, UNLV, Washington State, and Gonzaga.
He has visits to each school and has already taken his visit to Washington State last weekend. He will be at Gonzaga the 16th of September, UW on September 24th, and UNLV is currently in the process of setting up the visit date but it will be soon after the others according to Johnson.
Johnson said this about each school:
Washington State: “The people there are great. The coaching staff is unbelievable. The fans support the sports programs and overall it is just a great place.”
Washington: “I love Coach Romar and the staff. The offense is up-tempo which fits my play.”
Gonzaga: “The coaches are great there. Big guard spot is always in the mix.”
UNLV: “Their high post offense and their new facility is just great.”
He plans to decide on where he will go to college after he takes all of these visits.
