2012 Men’s Basketball Recruiting Update

It is time for another roundup of what is happening in the 2012 recruiting scene especially because there was some new information that was obtained today. Time to pass that on to you:

• Anthony Bennett has eliminated Missouri from his list of 10. He is now down to: Florida, Kentucky, Washington, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Oregon, Ohio State, UNLV, and UCONN.
• Anrio Adams has enrolled and is officially attending Rainier Beach High School.
• Demarquise Johnson is on his first official visit of the year to Washington State starting tonight. He will also go to Gonzaga and UW later in the month with UNLV setting up a visit soon.
• Roscoe Allen is down to two (and a half). Ryan Greene the UNLV beat writer in Las Vegas has reported that Allen is down to UNLV and Stanford with North Carolina hanging around. UW is no longer in the mix.
• Chris Obekpa has also eliminated UW from his list (as reported by Joey Natale), which is now UCONN, UCLA, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Saint John’s, Providence, Florida, Seton Hall, Texas, Maryland, Syracuse, Kentucky, and Florida State.
• Skylar Spencer is in the process of setting up an official visit with UW sometime soon but this weekend he will be on campus at San Diego State for his official visit.
• Waverly Austin will be cutting his list in the next month and taking visits to 3 or 4 colleges. UW has been in contact with his AAU coach.

This is not a comprehensive list of the recruits that UW is chasing but this is a list of recent news or updates for certain recruits.
