Matchup: The Huskies are coming off a crazy and wild loss down in the desert. As, the game winning shot was blocked by Derrick Williams of Arizona and many are still angry that the call should have been goaltending. However, Lorenzo Romar things that the last second loss to Arizona is only going to help his team as they make a run for and in the NCAA tournament.
Tonight’s matchup against Seattle University is not a matchup that should be completely overlooked. This Seattle team isn’t having their best year but has still been able to beat some good teams. They have beaten Oregon State, Virginia, and Eastern Washington to name the common opponents with UW. The Huskies have lost to one of those three teams.
The energy in the Key will be interesting to watch for tonight. There are by far more Husky fans in the city of Seattle than Seattle U fans, but that doesn’t mean that Seattle U won’t rock the place. The Arena opened up more sections for UW fans and there should be about 10,000 people there. Look for some momentum swings based on which fan base is more into the game.
The last road non-conference win UW got was against LSU in 2007. However, the Huskies should win tonight’s game and have some momentum going into their home stretch against WSU, UCLA, and USC the following week.
