Lorenzo Romar addressed the media on Tuesday afternoon with this opening statement regarding the investigation:

“We’ve been informed that there is an investigation, an allegation regarding one of our student-athletes.  It’s something we take very serious at this point.  I want to repeat that – it is very serious.  But there is not enough information for us to determine what’s going to be done here. Beyond that I’m not going to say much more about it. “

So for those of you playing “Clue” out there with this drama, please let the details play themselves out until the team is ready to speak about it.

In the meantime, Lorenzo Romar is trying to rally his troops for a tough road trip versus the Bay Area schools this week. UW has Stanford on Thursday at 7 PM (NO TV) and Cal on Sunday at 7 PM (FSN). Romar stated that all players are practicing with the team and all would make the trip to the Bay Area this weekend.

– Abdul Gaddy will have surgery on Friday for his ACL injury which is great news.

– Romar reflected on Isaiah Thomas’ stellar play as of late and still labels him as that “under appreciated” player on UW’s team. Thomas won his first Pac-10 POW award of his career this week for his performance against the Oregon schools.

We will have more for in regards to the Stanford pre-game tomorrow.
