Washington Football on defensive tackle Caleb Tremblay’s mind

Washington Football is fresh on the mind of Sacramento, California defensive tackle Caleb Tremblay

Where’s the beef? The Washington Football team asks that question when looking for 2018 recruits.  Well, when they look for defensive tackles, that is.  Fortunately, they have someone new in mind, Caleb Tremblay.

So the team is working hard to meet with and offer scholarships to the right fit.   Players who excel at athletics, mental discipline, and perseverance required to see a commitment through the good and the bad times ahead. And the team may have found one more player to add to that list of select few.

The team has taken an interest in Sacramento California defensive tackle Caleb Tremblay.  And it seems that Caleb Tremblay may be reciprocating.

Good play huge need

To begin with, Tremblay stands 6-foot-5 and weighs in at a solid 275 pounds. But he is no secret to the NCAA. He is already the recipient of up to 15 offers, including Alabama.

He is projected as a defensive tackle, but he has earned much of his football experience from the defensive end position.  Only last season did he slide inside due to his size and strength. However, when he did, his play began to truly shine.

Defensive tackles are a huge need for the Washington Football team this year.   So far, the team has intrigued two prospects: Tommy Togiai and  Jackson Cravens.  Tremblay makes three, and that’s a good number of potential players.

Strong character, strong athlete.

Tremblay is currently rated as the top defensive tackle in the state of California. But ranking is not where Coach Petersen focuses recruiting efforts.  He focuses on a strong player with a strong character. In Tremblay, the team finds both.

While Tremblay is slated for the class of 2018, he could sign for the 2017 team. And per a report from Scout.com’s Scott Eklund, he has used his time since graduating high school to get strong.

"“I power clean 365, so I’m pretty explosive and I feel like I’m pretty strong and I use my hands pretty well. Another thing I think I do pretty well is use my technique and flip my hips and one thing that surprises people is how quick I am for a guy my size.”- per interview with Scott Eklund of Scout.com"

Strength, center of gravity, and balance are all very important in the trenches.  Tremblay has strong performance in all three.

Next: Washington Football recruiting summer is starting to heat up

On one hand, he is ideal for the type of player the team needs. On the other hand,  with his situation, he could fit in with 2017 or 2018.  In any case, let’s hope the Huskies land him. He will be a good talent to have on this football team, and I have no beef with that.
