As Washington Huskies Markelle Fultz finishes at NBA Combine, Kelsey Plum reveals she held upper hand on basketball court

Who truly is the best basketball prospect in the nation this year? If you are a member of the NBA, you would probably say Washington Huskies Markelle Fultz. But if you were from the University of Washington who observed the basketball court, you would like say Kelsey Plum.

    And the matter is not exactly building a strong case for Fultz as he becomes the new Washington Huskies basketball player to turn pro.

    But the pecking order of the University of Washington is still in flux. If the University of Washington Huskies truly become the first school to produce the top NBA and WNBA prospects in the same year, then which of the Huskies is truly the lead?

    That question is directly answered by Kelsey Plum.

    Of course, that gauntlet could not go answered. And the predictable rebuttal of course.

    But that correction for the record was also corrected for the record.

    While the NBA doesn’t show signs of concern over the matter, there is a tainting of a consensus that women cannot compete with men in professional sport.  This social media exchange is all in fun, but it may move the needle to that perception closer to a belief that the two versions of basketball are much closer than perceived.
