The Morning Haul: 10/13

facebooktwitterreddit

Wow, sorry for the super late posting of the morning haul. I got back pretty late last night from a the triumphant Macklemore show over in WaMu Theater, so I just naturally slept in until 11am. Considering the Husky game is in five hours, it’s a good thing I’m finally awake.

I am so, so excited to see what happens this afternoon. Not only is this a key game for both teams that will reveal so much about the Huskies and Trojans, it is also the first time that CenturyLink will be hosting a near-capacity crowd for a Washington game this season. The Stanford game was a terrific environment, but it was still only 55,000 people. It sounds like, right now, at least 62,000 tickets have been sold. That’s thousands more people, and much more noise. Coupled with the possibility of some rain, it should be an intense environment for a football game.

Stories Especially Worth Reading:

The Dawg Pound has their game preview, as well as a Q&A with Trevor Wong.

Bob Condotta has posted his pick for today’s game, and you better believe he has Washington winning this one. Apparently I’m not insane to be picking the Huskies again after the Oregon debacle. Or Bob and I are both insane.

I know it’s gameday, but there’s always time for a little bit of basketball. In this case, it’s an article from Percy Allen about a back court that is still figuring out who will lead.
