Preview: This will be the opening of a very tough Pac 12 schedule for Washington. Oregon’s strongest area is their pitching. The Duck pitching staff has a 2.64 era and has allowed just two homeruns in 140 innings of work. In Oregon’s three losses, they have been defeated by the scores of 4-1, 2-1, and 3-2. If the Huskies are going to win games, they will need good performances from starting pitchers Aaron West, George Asmus, and Austin Voth. In order to win, Husky pitchers will have to limit the Oregon bats, and Washington bats will have to scrap together runs against a very good Duck pitching staff. Expect a weekend full of pitcher duels.
