The early signing period for college basketball begins tomorrow. Up until this point all commitments were just verbal commitments and no one has signed yet. That will change tomorrow.
The Huskies are the team in the Pac-12 that has no verbal commitments up to this point. All the other Pac-12 schools have at least 2 and most have 3. Oregon, a little over a week ago had 0 commitments but has recently added Dominic Artis, Ben Carter, and Damyean Dotson.
The Dawgs seem to be taking a back-seat approach to this year’s recruiting process. Lorenzo Romar and company seem to not be worried or even care that they have 0 commitments and may not even have any for the early period. However, while that is his game-face, there are two guys out there that have UW in their final list and may decide in the next coming days. One you have heard a lot about the other is probably a new name to you.
- Landen Lucas- A 6’10 Center/Forward out of Oregon (played a year at Findlay Prep), is set to decide this weekend according to OregonLive.com. He is down to 4 schools; Stanford, California, Washington, and Tennessee. The most likely destination is Washington with California as a close second.
- Marcel White- A 6’5, 200 pound, Small Forward/Guard that is very athletic. He is down to James Madison, Alabama, and Washington. Rivals has him listed as holding an offer from Washington. Here is the tweet from Dan Mcdonald that has his final 3 listed.
The other recruits that UW is chasing should be signing late. However, stay up to date by following me on twitter. Recruiting changes by the minute.
